Monitor calibration
For the best possible quality when you make prints from digital files, we offer you a tool with which to calibrate the colours on your screen. Please down load the file (calibration.zip), which contains a colour chart (Jpeg file). You will need to get the output on photo paper of this file before you can finish this exercise- it's available at the customer service counter of the lab, or we can send it to you by emailing us at information@contactimage.com).
How To
Open the file in Photoshop. Place the photo paper colour chart next to the screen. Adjust your screen in order that it resembles the example as closely as possible, in terms of colour, saturation, density and contrast. Make these adjustments in your usual ambient lighting conditions, since outdoor conditions, neons, incadescent bulbs, etc., all affect your perception of the colours on your screen.
Then use these adjustments by default on any files that you intend to have printed at Contact Image.
